Ri~KarKattsNorwegianForest Cats
Policy and Procedures

My kittens/cats are part of our family.    Much time, physical and emotional energy is expended in their care and thus we are guarded of their placement in homes.  Which kittens will be available to go to pet homes may not  be  completely determined until the kitten is 12 to 16 weeks of age.  This is for your advantage, as well as ours.  You may “change your mind”.  The minimum age in which kittens will leave the cattery is 16 weeks or at the discretion of Ri~KarKatts.  When they go to their adoptive homes they will have had all their distemper vaccinations at 16 weeks.  They will have been vet checked with a health statement.  In assessing the questionnaires, we want to be sure that the lifestyles of the adoptive parents and the intended kitten are compatible.  Our pet kittens will be sold on a first come, first serve basis, depending upon compatibility, submission of questionnaire and deposit of $200.00 non refundable. Kitten prices range from $700 for pet, to $1400 a breeder. Any cat sold for show, breeding,  rarer colors or of exceptional quality will be higher and this will be discussed if the time comes. Full price of the kitten is expected two weeks before delivery of the kitten/cat or cash upon personal delivery.

Spaying/Neutering can be done at this end as well as microchipping upon request, but additional expenses will be incurred.   Ri~KarKatts explicitly reserves the right of placement of any of our kittens to an adoptive home.  If, in the course of conversation between the two parties it is deemed that a home would not be optimum for a kitten, we reserve the priviledge of placement.

Terms:

“on hold” – I am assessing the kitten for the cattery.  The kitten may become available in the future.

“interest” – someone has expressed an interest in the kitten, but no monetary exchange has taken place.

“reserved” – a deposit has been received by the adoptive parents.

“sold” – the kitten has been paid for in full and will be placed accordingly.

I prefer to ship kittens within the United States, but will ship for special purposes.

Please fill out the questionnaire, copy and send it to me e mail.  A contract of sale is also part of the adoptive process and will be a necessary part for your participation and agreement.  A contract of sale will be sent when a deposit is received.   Signatures of all caregivers in the household will be necessary on the contract.
